Incumbent J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik, who has beentransferred to Goa as governor, on Saturday called on Prime Minister NarendraModi.
While Girish Chandra Murmu was appointed lieutenant governorof Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, Malik was moved to Goa.RK Mathur was appointedlieutenant governor of Ladakh.On October 31, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh willbecome two separate Union territories to be governed by lieutenant governors. ThePrime Minister's Office tweeted a picture of Modi and Malik at the primeminister's official residence.
